Just after I made my blog entry yesterday, a thunderstorm arrived, and I swear it has been raining almost continuously ever since. Our high today was only 8.1F, with a heat index of 85F. After the unusually hot, dry June and early July, we're jumped back to April.

A violent, stormy morning that gave way to a beautiful sunny day. The worst of the storms passed just north of Birmingham. Our high was 85F.

I might have slept three hours last night. And still, I wrote 1,921 words on The Night Watchers. Hopefully, they were good words. Oh, and I drew a monster doodle I owed someone and signed books we'd sold in the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop.
